What we don't do

Cut your cuticles back

​Cutting or removing your cuticles creates a portal of entry for bacteria. This can very easily lead to infection of the cuticle and its surrounding area. For this reason, any dead skin can be reduced to a safe degree but complete removal or cutting back of the cuticle is not something we advise or practice at Your Podiatry Room.

Bathe or soak your feet

Foot baths/soaking of the feet is not something we do in the clinic. We avoid this to prevent the unhygienic spread of infection and maintain our infection control procedures.

​Apply Nail Polish

We do not apply nail polish to our patients' toenails. Primarily due to the risk of cross-contamination amongst our patients.
